The OPAL Canopy (Outdoor Play And Learn) is our flagship product — a precision-engineered vault system combining structural efficiency with architectural elegance. Architecturally inspired and engineered with world-leading enhancements, it's quite simply the best shade canopy on the market.
The one-piece membrane creates a seamless organic finish with no flat seams or open edges that could trap dirt and moisture. The result is a structure that looks as good after ten years as the day it was installed.
We specify a heavier 950g/m² grade (Précontraint 902s2) where others quote a lighter 750g/m² — more coating, greater tensile strength, at no additional cost. Serge-Ferrari's patented 'Précontraint' process pre-tensions the base cloth during manufacture, greatly extending membrane life — so much so that we back it with a 25-year 'Old for New' replacement warranty. This technology is available only through accredited fabricators like ours.

When fabric isn't the right fit for your project, Spaceframe offers a range of premium steel-clad canopy solutions. Using our proven vault structure with bird-proof roll-formed purlins, we produce curved and mono-pitch cantilevered canopies that deliver lasting performance in any environment.
Available in Coloursteel profiles, Durolite Webglass, or a combination of both — giving you control over light transmission, colour and finish. Hard Shell structures are ideal for commercial, industrial and educational settings where permanence and a traditional roofline are preferred.
Durolite is a gel-coated, glass-mat reinforced sheet with exceptional structural strength — meaning safety wire mesh is not required beneath the sheeting. The top surface can be translucent for natural daylighting or solid to block light entirely. Available in FireGuard (FG2 and FG3) ratings where required.
